Biography
As a Junior in 2016: Appeared in 99 sets in 29 matches…led the team with 347 digs and had 34 assists and 14 service aces…posted season-best 31 digs in a 3-1 win over Florida Tech (Sept. 13)…tallied season-best three service aces in a five-set win against Rollins (Oct. 18)…eclipsed the 20-dig mark on six occasions…named to the SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
At Iowa Western Community College (2014-15): Tallied 790 digs in 2015, sixth-best in the nation (NJCAA)…first team Academic All-Region both seasons…NJCAA Division I All-Region Team in 2015…led her team to a quarterfinal appearance at the NJCAA Division I National Championship in 2015.
Prep: Graduated from Kamehameha-Kapalama High School in May 2014…won the HHSAA state championship in 2013…received Oceanic Time Warner Cable ILH Volleyball Team Player award.
Personal: Born in Great Falls, Montana…daughter of Charles and Sayumi Spenser…volunteered at Nagomi Foster Homes in Hawaii and helped with the Special Olympics with the Iowa Western CC volleyball team…majoring in Business Administration.
