Biography
2004 (Sophomore): Appeared in 105 games playing libero and defensive specialist...finished third on the team in digs (278) and recorded a surprising 50 kills on the season despite her 5-6 stature...recorded a career-high 25 digs and added seven kills at Clearwater Christian (Oct. 16)...recorded 13 double-figure dig efforts on the year and one other 20-plus match aside from her career-high 25 with 22 at Northwood on Oct. 30)...posted half of her 16 services aces with a career-high eight (fifth on ERAU's single-match all-time highs) vs. Webber International (Oct. 22)...ended the year with some of her strongest offensive and defensive play recording 43 kills in the last 11 contests and posted eight double-figure dig efforts in eight of the last 11 matches...earn team Defensive MVP.
2003 (Freshman): Was a surprising find in 2003 posting 247 digs in 109 games ? finishing fifth on the Eagles...added 12 service aces, 12 assists and 11 kills...helped Eagles get off to second-best start ever since the 1997 season after four-straight victories including three in FSC play (NU, WIU and WSC) improved Eagles mark to 16-5 overall...Salb recorded four of her 10 double-figure dig efforts on the season during the four-game winning streak...recorded a season-high 15 digs vs. Stetson on Oct. 28, 2003 and posted 14 digs twice vs. Palm Beach Atlantic (Aug. 30) at the Beach Blast 2003 and vs. Florida Tech (Oct. 15)...despite her defensive emphasis, she recorded a season-high three kills and posted 10 digs at Warner Southern on Oct. 11, 2003...recorded two service aces in three matches vs. Peru State (Aug. 29), at Edward Waters (Oct. 18) and vs. Stetson (Oct. 28)...earned team Most Improved Player Award.
High School: Three-year varsity letterwinner and 2002 graduate of Bishop Kelly High School...was captain her junior and senior seasons under the tutelage of head coach Steven Rapp...received Best Defensive Player Award in 2002...also captained the Boise River Volleyball club team under coach Jason Weever.
Personal: Majoring in Air Traffic Management with minor in Aviation Business...born in Evanston, Illinois on October 27, 1983...daughter of Jayne and Wolfgang Salb...junior volunteer for four years at St. Lukes Medical Center in Boise, Idaho...also worked at the Idaho Youth Ranch.
