Biography

Keeton's Commentary: "Started to really come into her own at the end of last year and if we can start where she left off ? she can be unstoppable. She is going to be challenged this year with the incoming freshmen, but if we can keep her focused on believing within herself that she deserves the starting position on the outside she will be phenomenal."

2003 (Junior): Tola battled through an up and down season emotionally after the loss of her father in the middle of the season, but persevered and posted stretches of brilliance with double-figure kill efforts in 19 of 28 matches en route to All-FSC and All-Region XIV honors...finished with 313 kills and a .236 hitting percentage...possessed one of the Eagles strongest serves recording 40 service aces to rank third on the team...finished with 134 digs and 16 total blocks defensively...recorded a career-high 18 kills twice vs. Peru State (Aug. 29) and vs. Florida Memorial (Oct. 25)...posted a career-high 13 digs vs. Palm Beach Atlantic on Oct. 3, 2003...recorded a career-best .611 hitting percentage (14k-3e-18a) at Edward Waters (Oct. 18) and posted .300-plus hitting percentages in 11 matches.

Junior College: Attended Indian River Community College and played volleyball two seasons (2001-2002)...volunteered her time as part of community service for the IRCC's leadership organization.

High School: A 2001 graduate of Marist High School in Atlanta, Georgia when she moved to the United States to live with her sister Ogarta...helped her team earn a State title...won leadership awards at Marist...also played for the Cobb Atlanta volleyball club...earned tournament MVP honors.

Personal: Majoring in Aerospace Studies...born in Tirana, Albania on Mar. 4, 1983...daughter of Natash and Agim Tola...also attended Shkolla Partizani High School before coming to the United States...speaks Albanian, English and a little Italian...lived in Sweden for five years, grew up in Albania and moved to the United States in 1999.
