Calan Gizelbach is entering his first year as an Assistant Director of Athletics Communications after serving one year as ERAU Athletics' Social Media Intern.
Gizelbach comes to Embry-Riddle from the University of Dayton, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport and Wellness and a Master of Business Administration. While studying he competed in cross country using all five years of eligibility and achieving a series of accomplishments, most notably A-10 All-Rookie team in 2019-20 and A-10 All-Conference Team in 2021-22.
As a student graphic designer for the University of Dayton athletic department, Gizelbach has a range of experience managing multiple social media platforms and content creation. Gizelbach was the lead graphic designer for GoEmpire Group LLC where his duties included creating, planning, and posting on various social media channels.
