Sandra Booker

Sandra Booker joined Embry-Riddle Athletics as the Assistant Athletic Director for Student Success in January 2025.
 
In her role with the Eagles, Booker oversees the Ridder Transformational Program while providing advocacy and support for Embry-Riddle student-athletes in a variety of areas such as academics and life skills. She also chairs the Gender and Minority Equity Committee and ensure compliance with Title IX and the NCAA.
 
Booker came to Embry-Riddle after a 23-year career at Bethune-Cookman University where she served in a variety of roles. She began her career with the Wildcats as the head women’s basketball coach and was the MEAC Coach of the Year in 2003 before being named Associate Director of Athletics and Senior Woman Administrator. In 2014, Booker was elevated to B-CU’s Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Internal Operations and was the university’s Title IX Investigator for four years.
 
Booker has served in various capacities at the conference and national levels. She was the Chair of the MEAC Senior Women Administrators and Woman of the Year selection and chaired the MEAC baseball and track and field championship events. She was also a member of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Committee, supervising and managing multiple regional and Final Four events. 
 
Booker began her coaching career as an intern coach at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and then as a graduate assistant coach at SUNY Buffalo and after a brief stint at the University of Central Florida, she spent seven years as the head coach at Palm Beach Community College where she was a five-time Southern Conference Coach of the Year.
 
In addition to working in collegiate athletics, Booker has also worked at the high school level. She spent two years at Flagler Palm Coast High School as teacher for their Diversified Career Technology & On-The-Job Training and Edgeunity programs. She has also worked with the Embassy of Hope Foundation and Visions in Flight, Inc.
 
A native of East Riverton, New Jersey, Booker earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from The Richard Stockton State College and completed her master's degree in transformative leadership at Bethune-Cookman.
