Mercedes Jorge of the women's basketball team has earned the Embry-Riddle Female Athlete of the Week honor for the week of Feb. 22-28. This is the third time in the 2015-16 season that Jorge has earned the award. Jorge scored a career-high 29 points and added 13 rebounds in Wednesday's game against Barry. Three days later she recorded another double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds in a 73-68 road victory at Lynn. For the week, Jorge averaged 24.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and two assists per game.
