Lauren Thielen of the women's golf team has been named the Embry-Riddle Female Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 23-29. For Thielen, this is the first weekly award of her career. The sophomore was the top finisher for the Eagles at the Flagler Fall Slam, shooting a 150 (79-71) to tie for 22nd place. Her second-round 71 tied for the third-lowest round in school history and marked the second time in her career she shot under par, making her just the fourth player in program history to shoot multiple rounds under par in her career.
