Ilona Andringa of the softball team has been named the Embry-Riddle Female Athlete of the Week for March 12-18. For Andringa, this marks her first weekly award of the season and third of her career. Andringa went 4-0 on the week, tossing three complete games, including the program's first-ever perfect game. She tossed the perfect game in a 6-0 defeat of South Carolina - Aiken on Tuesday, striking out 13 of the 21 batters she faced. For the week, Andringa totaled 33 strikeouts in 25 innings of work, allowing just 5 runs (4 earned) on 14 hits while walking two.
