Embry-Riddle women's golfer Olivia Whitten has been named the Tijuana Flats Female Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 14-20. Whitten, a true freshman from Flagler Beach, Florida, was impressive in her first-ever appearance at the South Atlantic Women's Amateur Championship (SALLY), finishing in a tie for 27th overall after firing a 314 (86-77-76-75), a score that won the first flight at the tournament. Whitten finished the four-round event with seven birdies, and improved her score each day, culminating with a 75 on Saturday.
