Mariana Pereira of the softball team has been named the Tijuana Flats Female Athlete of the Week for April 22-28. For Pereira, this marks her second weekly award of the season and of her career. The senior hit .500 (7-for-14) with a double and a home run, seven RBIs, seven runs scored, and a stolen base to lead ERAU to a 4-0 week, including a three-game sweep of Barry. On Wednesday, Pereira went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI is ERAU's 4-1 win at Flagler. Then on Friday, the senior was 2-for-3 with a double, home run, two runs scored, and four RBIs. She capped her week with a 3-for-7 effort in Saturday's doubleheader, combining for four runs scored and a pair of RBIs in the Eagle sweep.
