The Embry-Riddle Female Athletes of the Week are the members of ERAU rowing's women's Varsity Eight boat: Megan Byrne, Shelby Ernst, Irina Djurovic, Sofia Lorenzini, Gwendolyn Powell, Bethany Thompson, Alexandra Popielarz, Elise Dezotell, and Kendra Sander. The Eagles won the Varsity Eight race at the FIRA Championship on Saturday, clocking a time of 7:50.29, beating Barry by more than 16 seconds and Rollins by nearly 50 seconds. The Varsity Eight victory helped the Blue and Gold to its first-ever Florida state crown as the Eagles scored 64.5 points on the day.
