For the first time in her career, Ria Vlachos of the Embry-Riddle women's soccer team has been named the Tijuana Flats Female Athlete of the Week. Vlachos, a freshman from Naples, Florida, was as efficient as possible on Sunday in the Eagles' 3-0 shutout of Florida Southern in the second round of the NCAA II National Tournament. Vlachos was subbed into the contest in the 72nd minute, and less just 40 seconds later scored her first goal of the year which held up as the game-winner for ERAU. Vlachos then assisted on the third goal of the evening seven minutes later, ending the night with a goal and an assist in just eight minutes of playing time.
