Ariana Anderson becomes the third different member of women's track and field to win Tijuana Flats Female Athlete of the Week in the past five weeks. The senior broke a pair of program records, one indoor and one outdoor. At the Florida University Last Chance meet, Anderson bested the indoor 3000m record, a time that she set a week prior. Her mark of 9:57.47 shaved two seconds off the previous record. Two days later at the Embry-Riddle First Chance, Last Chance meet, Anderson shattered the 3000m steeplechase record that had stood unchallenged for almost 13 years. She stopped the clock at 10:46.78, which was 44 seconds faster than the previous record.
