No. 4 Eagles Remain Perfect in FSC Play With 8-1 Victory Over No. 8 SCAD

SAVANNAH, Ga. ? The fourth-ranked Embry-Riddle men's tennis team extended its unbeaten streak in Florida Sun Conference play to 4-0 with an 8-1 victory over No. 8 Savannah College of Art and Design on Saturday. The win also helped the Eagles clinch a share of the league title, the fifth in as many seasons.

The Eagles went up 2-1 after doubles play as Carlos Bes and Istvan Bolgar defeated Willy Frei and Christian Werge 8-3 at No. 2, and Tomoaki Yasuda and Luke Maricic defeated Fernando Horcasitas and Juan Pablo Velez at the No. 3 spot. The Bees' only win of the day came at No. 1 doubles when Jan Menzen and Dima Chiriacov registered a 9-7 upset of top-ranked Mislav Hizak and Konstantin Lazarov.

ERAU won all six singles matches in straight sets to improve to 4-1 on the season, while the Bees move to 3-1 overall and 3-1 in the FSC.

The Embry-Riddle men return to the court at 3 p.m. on Tuesday when they travel to Winter Park, Fla. to take on Rollins who is ranked 13th in NCAA II.
