DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. --
Tyler DeBord recorded 18 points and 12 rebounds for his ninth double-double of season to help the Eagles snap a four-game losing skid with a 78-63 victory against Webber International.
The win marked the third-straight season the Eagles have posted 20 wins and 14th overall in the 19-year history of the program.
DeBord led four Eagles in double-figures and was one of the more efficient Eagles on the night going 7-for-9 from the field and was 4-of-5 from the charity stripe.
Denver Cobb added15 points (three three's),
Houston Wright closed out with 13 points (eight in the first half) and
Ryan Exter popped for 12.
Embry-Riddle jumped out to the early lead with a 15-5 run behind five apiece from DeBord and Cobb. The Eagles grabbed their largest lead of the first half at 20 points leading 33-13 with 2:42 to go in the first half on an Exter three-pointer.
The game was plagued by fouls with both teams combining for 51 fouls and the Eagles converted 77.4 percent of their chances going 24-for-31, while WIU hit 72.7 percent (24-for-33).
The Warriors closed the gap to 12 points in the opening minutes of the second half and were as close as 13 at 60-47 with 7:32 left, but never could break into the single-digit deficit range.
Jeremy Schreiber led Webber with 14 points and Manny Davila added 11 points before leaving the game with an injury with seven minutes remaining.
Embry-Riddle resumes action on Saturday when they travel to Savannah College of Art and Design at 4 p.m.
