Eagles Win No. 18, Top Tigers in Three Sets

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. ? The Embry-Riddle Eagles won their 18th match of the year, 3-0, topping the Edward Waters Tigers on Saturday in league play (25-8, 25-10, 25-11).

Embry-Riddle's record moves to 18-1 and 8-1 in conference play. Edward Waters is 0-8 in conference play.

Kristen Hassett highlighted the match with five service aces in six serves at the beginning of the third set putting the Eagles up 6-0. She ended the match with six aces, nearly half of the team's total of 13. Marissa Gonzales (3), Savannah Trakes (2), Alana Martinez (1) and Jenni Nelsen (1) each contributed to the total.

The Eagles had 31 kills in the match, Trakes leading the team with eight. Corey Dobridnia had seven in the match and Lauren Anastase had four. Abby Hall led the team in digs with 11.

The Blue and Gold will continue play on the road as they will travel to southern Florida to face Northwood, Florida Memorial and St. Thomas on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, respectively.
