DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's tennis team earned its fourth straight victory with an 8-0 win over Sun Conference foe Southeastern (8-6, 2-6) on Monday. Playing their fourth match in five days, the Eagles improved to 11-5 overall and 6-0 in league play and will have just one day's rest before returning to action against NCAA II No. 10 Florida Southern on the road on Wednesday.

The sixth-ranked Eagles established themselves early on, dropping just one game in three doubles matches combined. Anna Götz and Paola Montero took an 8-0 win over Mason Bellar and Madeline Wills on court two, while Eva Vilar and Paula Ortiz Couder downed Stephanie Dodd and Rachel Van Dyke by the same margin on court three. At No. 1 doubles, Kristina Marova and Hui-I Huang dispatched Sadie Mayou Alexis Quinn 8-1 to extend the Eagle lead to 3-0.

Marova was efficient in her win at No. 3 singles wasting little time in securing a 6-0, 6-0 win over Wills. Anna Götz recorded the clinching point with her 6-1, 6-0 decision against Quinn on court two, while Vilar bested Bellar 6-1, 6-0, Montero topped Dodd 6-0, 6-1, and Ortiz Couder shut out Van Dyke 6-0, 6-0.

The match at No. 1 singles between Huang and Mayou saw each player win a set to force a tiebreaker, but that match ended when severe weather blew into the area before the outcome could be decided.
