MIAMI LAKES, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's golf team took 14th place at the Barry Women's Invitational after posting a final-round 331 on Tuesday. The Eagles closed out the tournament with a total score of 971 (323-317-331).
Camila Sierra had the best round for the Eagles on Tuesday, firing an 80 to finish with a 239 (81-78-80).
Megan Pollenz was the top overall finisher with a 236 (75-78-83) to tie for 60th place.
Lauren Thielen ended the tournament one stroke behind her with a 237 (79-77-81).
Natalie Brooks rounded out the scoring for ERAU with an 87 on Tuesday for a 54-hole total of 259 (88-84-87), while
Lovisa Clausen carded a 90 to finish with a 283 (102-91-90). Playing as individuals,
Kristen Holman posted a 268 (91-90-87) and
Christine Dominguez shot a 276 (96-92-88).
No. 8 Rollins won the tournament with an 871 (292-289-290), finishing 10 strokes clear of top-ranked Barry (289-300-292=881). No. 10 Lynn placed third with an 886 (289-298-299=886) while No. 9 Nova Southeastern was fourth with an 892 (298-297-297). NAIA No. 2 Keiser took fifth with an 894 (292-303-299).
Barry's Tilda Larsson, the No. 2-ranked player in NCAA II, was the individual medalist with a two-under 214 (72-73-69) thanks to a three-under 69 in the final round. Pilar Echeverria of the University of Indianapolis (74-71-71) and Lynn's Jenny Ayala (70-73-73) tied for second place with even-par 216s.
The Eagles finish the season this weekend when they host the annual Bash at the Beach at the LPGA International Golf Club.
