ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's golf team wrapped up the World Golf Invitational on Monday at the Slammer & Squire Golf Course in St. Augustine, finishing in 15th place with 654 strokes over the two-day event. The Eagles shot a 319 in the second round, a 16-stroke improvement over their first-round 335.

Megan Pollenz had the low score for the Eagles with a 158 (81-77), while
Kelly Harris finished with a 166 (85-81).
Natalie Brooks (84-83) and
Daniela Pena (89-78) were just one shot back of Harris with 167s, and
Marlena Weatherly rounded out the team with a 171 (85-86). Playing as individuals, Keista Edler posted a 168 (78-90),
Erika Shellenberger shot a 169 (88-81), and
Kristen Holman registered a 183 (88-85).

"Nice rally to 319 today," Head Coach
Maria Lopez said afterwards. "Today's grit, adjustments, and decisions were quality! We learned heaps and are ready to go to the next level."

Nova Southeastern won the tournament by 15 strokes, shooting a seven-under 281 on Monday to finish with a team score of 585. Flagler finished in second place with a 600 (306-294) and Florida Tech took third with a 605 (301-304).

FIT's Noelle Beijer was the individual medalist, carding a five-under 139 (71-68) for the tournament. Paloma Vaccaro of West Florida was four strokes back with a one-under 143 (70-73), while NSU's Janelle Johnson and Flagler's Lara Ardler tied for third with identical 76-69=145s.

The Eagles return to the links Feb. 19-20 at the Lady Moc Classic hosted by Florida Southern.
