LAKELAND, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's golf team fired a 310 on Tuesday to finish the Lady Moc Classic in 13th place, ending the tournament with a 54-hole total of 933 (305-318-310).
"Today was a solid, scrappy, gutsy performance from our team," Head Coach
Maria Lopez said. "Overall we were a bit disappointed with the scores, but also happy to see our lowest team total at this event in school history."
Megan Pollenz had the low round of the day for Embry-Riddle, a 75, and was the top finisher for the Blue and Gold with a 228 (75-78-75), which tied her for 30th place.
Olivia Whitten and
Camila Sierra each shot 78 on Tuesday, with Whitten ending the event with a 235 (74-83-78) and Sierra totaling a 239 (83-78-78).
Kelly Harris closed out the tournament with a 236 (78-79-79) and
Natalie Brooks concluded her event with a 243 (78-85-80).
Playing as individuals,
Lauren Thielen ended up with a 236 (76-81-79), while
Catherine Yaun carded a 249 (83-85-81).
Next up for the Eagles will be the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational hosted by Rollins March 11-12.
