@ERAUWGolf Posts Best 54-Hole Tournament Score Since 2011 at Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational

WINDERMERE, Fla. - The Embry-Riddle women's golf team posted their best three-round tournament score since 2011 at the 2019 Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational on Tuesday, shooting a final round 308 for a 918 total (302-308-308). The Eagles finished in 11th place at The Golden Bear Club at Keene's Pointe where Rollins served as the host.

ERAU's 918 for the two-day, three-round event was the Blue and Gold's best three-round score since a 910 at the Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) Invitational back on Oct. 3, 2011.

Camila Sierra and Megan Pollenz led the way for the Eagles in the tournament, with Pollenz's final-round 73 the Eagles' best score of the tournament and her 2018-19 season-best. Pollenz (75-79-73=227) registered 11 total birdies in the event. Sierra (75-76-76=227) shattered her previous collegiate-best 54-hole tournament score, while Pollenz matched her's.

Olivia Whitten wrapped her tournament up with an 80 on Tuesday, going 77-77-80=234 (her season/career-best 54-hole score) and Kelly Harris (75-76-86=237) rounded out the ERAU scorers.

Natalie Brooks (85-84-79=248) saved her best round for last for the Eagles, while Daniela Pena competed as an individual, shooting 82-83-87=252.

"We had a super competitive performance this week," Head Coach Maria Lopez said. "We saw some great growth on a tremendous track. Several of our players hit personal records and made some stellar come backs."

Florida Tech fired a final-round 278 to win the 15-team event, finishing with an 868 (295-295-278), with Lynn (293-287-302=882), Saint Leo (295-294-309=898), Limestone (293-299-310=902), Florida Southern (304-299-302=905) and Lee (308-301-296=905) went two through five.

The Eagles will travel to Miami in two weeks to partake in the Buccaneer Invitational at Shula's Golf Club (March 25-26).
