DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle men's tennis team suffered a loss in its final home match of the season, falling to 10^th-ranked Lynn 6-1, Monday at the Crotty Tennis Complex. The loss drops the Eagles to 7-10 overall and 4-3 in the Sunshine State Conference, while Lynn improved to 12-2 overall and 6-1 in the league.
 
Lynn got its first win of the day at No. 3 doubles when Lucca Baptista and Gabriel Hocevar topped Micakel Faucher and Blake Rohweder 6-1, and Florian Clemares and Jose Porfirio assured the Fighting Knights of the doubles point with their 6-4 win over Alexis Guedy and Andrej Omeragic at the top spot.
 
The Fighting Knights were awarded their first singles point after Guedy was forced to retire due to an injury in his match against Baptista, and Clemares rallied for a three-set win against Lucas Bos at the third spot to make it 3-0 Lynn.
 
The Eagles got their first point of the afternoon when No. 54 Donayre bested No. 57 Bartmann in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5, for his third win against a ranked opponent this season. Moments later, Porfirio clinched the win for Lynn by holding off Omeragic 6-3, 6-4.
 
The Eagles will wrap up the season with a road match against No. 9 Saint Leo at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
