@ERAUMLax Tripped Up at Lynn

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle men's lacrosse team got four goals from Coleman Jacobs and a program-record 19 saves from Lucas Fraser on Saturday but it wasn't enough as the Eagles fell to Lynn by a score of 13-5. The loss moves ERAU to 8-6 overall and 0-4 in conference play, while LU goes to 8-3 and 3-1 in SSC action.

Fraser stopped 19 of the 32 shots on goal he faced, setting a new single-game record in ERAU's two-year history, besting Jerry Wilson's 18-save effort against Alabama – Huntsville last year. Jacobs led all players with his four goals while Gavin Madden tallied the Eagles' other goal. Kyle Dalrymple, Jacob Schripsema, and Ian Heggblod all notched assists as well, while Schripsema, Michael Forte, and Mitchell Cody each picked up a team-high five ground balls.

Lynn got the first goal of the game just over two minutes into the contest and extended the lead to 5-0 about 10 minutes later. Madden scored the lone Eagle goal of the first quarter with 2:33 remaining, and Fraser made eight saves in the quarter as ERAU ended the first down 5-1.

Jacobs scored four consecutive goals in the first nine minutes of the second quarter, drawing the Eagles even at 5-5. The Fighting Knights were able to get a goal with 4:47 left in the half but Fraser limited them to just the one goal in the frame, keeping Embry-Riddle within a goal at halftime.

Unfortunately for Fraser and the rest of the Eagles, the Lynn defense clamped down in the second half, keeping ERAU off the scoreboard for the remaining 30 minutes. The Fighting Knights notched six goals in the third and added one more in the fourth to account for the 13-5 final.

The Eagles return back home to take on Florida Tech on Wednesday, April 10 at 7 p.m.
