"The team had an amazing season of growth," Head Coach
Maria Lopez said. "Each week we matched or broke records, overcoming fear and challenges along the way. Today continued a 19-year streak of winning a tournament, and we had seven of our 11 players finish in the top-20 individually!"
Joining Sierra on the All-Tournament Team were Brooks, Pollen, Whitten and UNC Pembroke's Katy Flax.
"There's nothing more important than family; the one you're given and the one you make," Lopez said. "This ERAU Golf family had quite the day and quite the run! Our seniors have been the emotional engine and guardians of our program. They came in embracing our "Student. Person. Player" standard and were willing to be our springboard into NCAA II competition. They have left a legacy of care, excellence, grit and heart that has made us very deep. I am eternally grateful to Catherine, Lovisa and Megan - they all have such bright futures ahead of them."
Southeastern (315-310=625) placed second behind the Eagle Blue Team, with UNCP (315-314=629), Eagle Gold (326-309=635) going third and fourth. Coastal Georgia (323-322=645) and Webber International (324-340=664) rounded out the six-team field.
The Eagles will compete at the Sunshine State Conference Championship in Dade City, Florida on April 14-16. Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club will serve as the tournament course and Saint Leo will be the tournament host.
