DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's lacrosse team played its first home game of the 2020 season Sunday and the Eagles gave their home fans plenty to cheer about as they dominated Wingate from start to finish, 15-3. ERAU improved its record to 3-1 with the win, while the Bulldogs dropped to 1-3.

Elizabeth Ninesling recorded three goals and an assist to go along with a team-high six draw controls, four ground balls, and a pair of caused turnovers. Ericka Kimble chipped in with three goals and Tori Lammes registered two goals and three assists to tie her career high with five points. Mya Watson had a pair of goals and an assist while McKenzie Jackson had a goal, two assists, three ground balls, and three caused turnovers. Mary Catherine Kreider (2-1) earned the win, making three saves on six shots.

Watson opened the scoring at the 25:06 mark and Lammes followed that with a goal less than 90 seconds later to make it 2-0 Eagles. Kimble scored her first of the night at the 18:43 mark, which sparked a run of five ERAU goals in the span of 7:33, with Kimble adding her second goal during that stretch. Wingate got its first goal of the game with just over 10 minutes remaining in the half, and both offenses went quiet after that, with Embry-Riddle taking a 7-1 lead into the halftime break.

Ninesling scored the first two goals of the second half and Ellie Dailey made it 10-1 with 23:12 left in the game. The lead grew to double digits with Paige Jones' goal at the 17:54 mark, and Ninesling made it 12-1 with her third goal in just over 12 minutes at the 15:23 mark. The Bulldogs tallied back-to-back goals to trim the deficit to 12-3 with 7:11 left to play, but the Blue and Gold scored the final three goals of the night to win it, 15-3.

The Eagles return to the ERAU Lacrosse Field on Tuesday when they host St. Anselm at 5 p.m. in the second game of this six-game homestand.
