@ERAUWLax Explodes for 22-1 Victory Over Lander

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's lacrosse team dominated visiting Lander (3-5) on Friday evening, defeating the Bearcats by a score of 22-1. The Eagles matched a pair of program records with the win: fewest goals allowed (1) and largest margin of victory (21), equaling the 22-1 victory over Ave Maria on Feb. 21, 2019.

The Eagles (4-2) were led by Elizabeth Ninesling's five goals and two assists, though 11 players tallied goals and 15 different Eagles notched a point. Mya Watson recorded four goals and an assist, Paige Jones had two goals and three assists, and McKenzie Jackson tallied two goals, two assists, and a game-high six draw controls. Skylar Mossop improved to 2-0 in goal, recording three saves on four shots.

The Blue and Gold wasted no time in getting the scoring going as Watson got the home team on the board 47 seconds into the game. Ninesling followed with a goal 32 seconds later, and then scored her second goal just 10 seconds after that. Jackson made it 4-0 at the 27:45 mark and Ninesling completed her hat trick 10 seconds later. Ericka Kimble netted a goal to build the lead to 6-0 less than three minutes into the game.

Kendall Leonard scored her first of two goals on the night at the 17:37 mark of the first, increasing the lead to 9-0. Jones made it 10-0 just over seven minutes later, and the Eagles tacked on four more goals before halftime to go ahead 14-0.

Tori Lammes got the first goal of the second half less than two minutes into the period, and Devyn Taht followed suit just over two minutes later. Gillian Greenberg put home the next two goals, making it 18-0, before Lander scored their lone marker of the game at the 19:12 mark. Erin Bryenton scored with 14:40 left to make it 20-1 and Carson Toney scored the final goal of the game at the 3:01 mark to account for the 22-1 final score.

The Eagles return to the ERAU Lacrosse Field on Tuesday, March 10, when they host Kutztown in the fourth game of this six-game homestand. The opening draw is slated for 4 p.m.
