DAYTONA BEACH, Florida - It has been more than a decade since the Embry-Riddle cross country program has participated in a dual meet, but that will change on Saturday as the Eagles will run against Florida Tech on the ERAU Cross Country Course on Embry-Riddle's campus. The meet will mark the first outside competition for the Embry-Riddle Athletic Department since March 11 of last year before the COVID-19 pandemic abruptly and prematurely ended the spring season.

Due to the pandemic and Embry-Riddle's health and safety guidelines, spectators will not be allowed on Saturday. However, a limited live stream will be offered via the Embry-Riddle Athletics Facebook page. The men's race is slated for a 10 a.m. start with the women's race beginning at 11 a.m.

Last season, the Eagle men finished second at the Sunshine State Conference Championship (Florida Tech finished sixth out of nine teams), with the Eagle women placing fourth overall (Florida Tech was eighth of nine).
