LAKELAND, Florida - In the final tune-up before the 2020-21 Sunshine State Conference Championships in two weeks, the Embry-Riddle men's cross country team showed how deep it is, putting 10 runners in the top 28 on Saturday at the SSC Pre-Conference Meet at Holloway Park. The Eagles, led by
Paul Kraemer making his Embry-Riddle debut, edged host Florida Southern for the team title, 41 to 46.
Kraemer finished third overall in 26:30.6 in his first race with the Blue and Gold, leading three Eagles in the top-10.
Bartek Kwiecinski (26:51.7) was the second Eagle finisher for the second time this season as
Ryan Szklany (26:53.2) finished eighth, just one spot behind Kwiecinski.
FSC had individuals finish first, second and sixth, but thanks to the ERAU freshman pair of
Micah Blair (27:30.3) in 11th and
Brendon Shea (27:40.7) in 12th, it was the Eagles that emerged with the team title.
Shaun Bullock (27:54.9) and
Garrett Noltemeyer (28:03.4) finished in 14th and 16th, respectively, followed by
Justin Nauman (28:19.7) and
Tanner Rosolino (28:26.8) who both finished in the top-20.
Josh Collins (28th - 28:40.7),
Paris Williams (29th - 28:46.7),
Ryan Musil (32nd - 29:05.4),
Jacob Webster (40th - 29:48.9),
Austin Epstein (43rd - 30:24.2) and
Josh Beam (48th - 30:56.7) also ran on Saturday.
