WEST PALM BEACH, Florida - It was nearly 365 days between Sunshine State Conference championship trophy presentations, and on Saturday afternoon at the Rinker Athletic Campus it was the Embry-Riddle men's cross country team that hoisted the 2020-21 SSC trophy, dominating the eight-team field for the program's second SSC crown.

The Eagles put four runners in the top-10 and five in the top-11, led by
Paul Kraemer's fourth-place individual finish in 26:15.21.
Ryan Szklany placed fifth (26:28.22), his third top-10 showing in his third SSC Championship meet. Freshman
Micah Blair placed eighth in a time of 26:35.24, with
Shaun Bullock in 10th place in 26:41.57.
Bartosz Kwiecinski wrapped up the team title for the Blue and Gold with an 11th-place finish in 26:53.88 as
Tanner Rosolino (18th - 27:42.27) and
Brendon Shea (20th - 27:45.18) served as Eagle displacers.Â
Also competing for ERAU were
Ryan Musil (22nd - 28:11.72),
Garrett Noltemeyer (23rd - 28:14.20)Â and
Justin Nauman (39th - 29:47.35)
The Eagles' 38 points easily won the meet, followed by Florida Southern (54), Tampa (69), Saint Leo (82), and host Palm Beach Atlantic (121) in the top five. The trophy is ERAU's second SSC title in men's cross country after claiming the 2018 crown.
Thanks to their top-10 finish, Kraemer, Szklany, Blair and Bullock all earned SSC All-Championship Team honors.
