DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle men's tennis team notched its second win in a row with a 5-2 defeat of Rollins in Sunshine State Conference action on Thursday. The Blue and Gold swept through doubles and won four singles matches to improve to 3-1 on the year, while the Tars are now 0-2 following the loss.

The Eagles notched easy wins at the top two doubles spots as Juan Ortiz Couder and Andres Donayre downed Charlie Puttino and Andrea Brignacca 6-2 at No. 1 and Alexis Guedy and Lucas Bos teamed up to beat Ete Comu and Denis Golubev by the same score at No. 2. The match at No. 3 doubles was fiercely contested between the Eagles' Alvaro Rodrigo and Fernando Alonso and the Tars' Freddy Danielson and Mikkel Baumann. In the end, it was the Eagle duo that pulled out the 7-5 win to complete the doubles sweep and give the Eagles a 1-0 advantage heading into singles.

The first singles point came at the sixth position where Diaz Rodrigo downed Moritz Stenzer 6-1, 6-4. The next match off the court was at the fourth spot where Guedy bounced back from a setback in his last match to top Brignacca 6-2, 6-3.
