Complete ERAU Open Results
DAYTONA BEACH, Florida - The 2021-22 Embry-Riddle tennis season began this past weekend at the Crotty Tennis Complex as the Eagles hosted the 2021 ERAU Open. The event featured seven separate flights over the course of three days, with weather having an impact, particularly on Friday.

On the women's side, Alessia Tripaldelli was a perfect 3-0 in singles play in the Blue Flight, dispatching Anna Dovgopoyli (6-2, 6-0), Flo Massardo (6-3, 6-4) and Gianna Rosato (6-4, 6-2).

Also going 3-0 in the Blue Flight was Mafalda Soares. Soares won 7-5, 7-6 (6) over Kanna Kobayakawa, and then took care of Dovgopoyli (4-6, 6-4, 10-2) and Paige Noble Lucas (6-2, 6-0) to cap a perfect run in singles play.

Julia Mautner was 2-1 in singles, getting wins over Luisa Renovales (6-4, 6-2) and Kobayakawa (7-5, 6-0).

The pair of Itxaso Blanco and Jessica Wira Hadipoernomo were the best Eagle duo in doubles, posting an unblemished 2-0 record. The two started with an 8-4 win over Greco/Kobayakawa and then handled Nissen/Breunich (8-5).

The ITA Regionals are slated for Sept. 24-27 in Lakeland, Fla.
