Â
In a first half marked by runs, the final scoring spurt belonged to the home team as Lynn rattled off a 10-4 run in the last 4:21 of the second quarter to trim the Eagle lead to four, 27-23 at, the half.Â
Â
Baskets by Behan,
Macee Sugrue and
Madyson Jean-Louis helped the Eagles widen the gap to nine points (34-25) to start the third, but once again, the Fighting Knights had an answer and Kennedi Philson's jumper at the 4:26 mark made it a one-point (34-33) game.Â
Â
At the start of the final period, the ERAU lead was only three points (42-39). Left alone on the right side, Balabyekkubo buried her only three-point basket of the game and that score keyed a 12-4 run that staked the Eagles to an 11-point (54-43) advantage.Â
Â
Uloma Enyogasi's layup pulled the Fighting Knights within six (56-50) with 1:44 remaining, but Lynn was unable to further narrow the gap as the Eagles controlled possession in the final minute of play to come away with the win.Â
Â
