The Eagle tandem kept their focus and upended 16th-ranked Laura Arce Vieyra and Gabriela Jancikova 6-3 for the first win of the day. Next off the court was the team of Itxaso Blanco and Carla Cabrero del Hierro who held of Valeriya Monko and Florentina Hadjigeorgiou 7-5 to give ERAU a 1-0 edge heading into singles.

The first singles point of the day went to Wira Hadipoernomo who surrendered just two games in her 6-1, 6-1 defeat of Arce Vieyira at the third spot. Blanco extended the Eagle lead to 3-0 with her 6-2, 6-3 win over Monko on court one and Julia Mautner sealed the deal for the Eagles, rallying for a 3-6, 6-0, 11-9 win over Emily Granson at the sixth position.

"This was a great win today over a very good team," ERAU Head Coach Dave Paschal said. "The more experience this team gets the better they are competing. The girls really had the will to win today. Congratulations to Julia for clinching the match after she had match point against her."
