Kraemer and Men's Cross Country Make it Three Straight Meet Victories

SAINT LEO, Florida - The Embry-Riddle men's cross country team and top runner Paul Kraemer won both the team and individual titles for the third consecutive meet on Saturday, blowing away the rest of the field at the 2022 Saint Leo Abbey Invitational. The Eagles easily beat out SSC opponents Florida Southern, host Saint Leo, and Tampa en route to the team title, while Kraemer wrapped up his third individual crown of the 2022 campaign.

Embry-Riddle - 43 points [1-4-6-15-17 (19) (24)]
The Eagles' 43 points was 11 better than FSC (54) in second, while Saint Leo (65), and Tampa (101) were followed by Daytona State (108) in the top five. The Spartans, however, did not run with their full contingent of runners. ERAU's total time of 2:10:49 was nearly two minutes better than FSC's, with an average time of 26:10 for the 8K race.

The Eagles
Kraemer finished five seconds in front of the meet runner-up from DSC, finishing in 25:37.43, while Brendon Shea ran his best time of the year (25:46.79) to place fourth overall. Tanner Rosolino notched his third top-six finish of the season, running in 25:49.39, followed by Ryan Szklany (26:42.85) and Andew Stowe (26:51.68) in 15th, and 17th place, respectively.

Tayan Benson (26:57.39) and Jake Fritz (27:11.44) were the Blue and Gold displacers on Saturday.

Next Up
The Eagles will have next weekend off from competition before heading to Tallahassee for the FSU Invitational on Oct. 7.
