JOPLIN, Mo. – Senior
Tanner Rosolino capped his career with the Embry-Riddle men's cross country team at the NCAA II National Championships on Saturday. The 10K Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course saw Rosolino run the second-fastest 10K time of his career of 32:58.8.
One of only four individuals in program history to qualify for a national championship event, Rosolino was the Eagles' top finisher a six meets this season and was crowned Sunshine State Conference Runner of the Year. He was also named to All-SSC and All-NCAA II South Region teams.
"Tanner has had an amazing career and season which was capped off by qualifying for this meet today," ERAU Head Coach
Mike Rosolino said. "It was a great opportunity for him and so proud of all the work that went it."
Andrew Stowe also qualified for Saturday's championship but was unable to complete the course due to an injury sustained during the race.
"Andrew had an amazing season and has so many good things ahead of him," Coach Rosolino commented. "I'm really proud of him as well."
Wingate was the overall team champion in the 34-team field with 70 points followed by Colorado School of Mines (79 points) and East Central (108 points). West Texas A&M's William Amponsah was the first to cross the finish line, completing is race in 29:04.3.
