Men's Soccer Has Six CSC Academic All-District Selections for Second Consecutive Year

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – For the second consecutive year, six members of the Embry-Riddle men's soccer team have received College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors. Eden Bokobza, Sandro Henning, Konstantin Kosoric, Anthony Velez, Cambell Young and Gabriel Mentrup all won the award, with Bokobza, Henning, Kosoric and Velez being repeat winners.
According to CSC, the honor is for those who "meet high academic and athletic standards". The eligibility requirements are as follows: have a 3.50 cumulative GPA, play in at least 50 percent of the team's games and be a sophomore or higher athletically and academically." In addition to this, programs are limited to six nominations.
Young, a junior Business Administration major from Stirling, Scotland, has a 3.55 cumulative GPA between ERAU and Arizona Western College. Listed as a defender/midfielder, Young was ever-present on the pitch for the Eagles, starting all 15 matches at defensive midfield, only being on the bench for 49 of a possible 1350 minutes during the season, also racking up three assists.
Mentrup, a sophomore business major from Hannover. Germany, has a 3.82 cumulative GPA between UNC Greensboro and ERAU. The midfielder was another big part of the Embry-Riddle team, appearing in 14 matches and starting in 10 as a left winger, scoring one goal and assisting another.
Velez, a junior Aeronautical Science major from Miami, Fla. has a 3.82 cumulative GPA at ERAU. Often featuring opposite of Mentrup, he started all 14 matches he played in as a right winger, scoring one goal and assisting two.
Kosoric, a graduate student studying aviation finance, has a 3.67 cumulative GPA in his five years at ERAU. The Belgrade, Serbia native played in all 15 matches for the Eagles, starting five as well as logging significant minutes as a sub 10 times, playing 694 minutes while featuring as an attacking midfielder, as well as a winger and central midfielder.
Henning, a junior Computational Mathematics major from Frankfurt Germany, has a cumulative 3.87 GPA in his four years at ERAU. The midfielder/forward scored five goals while starting 11 of 13 matches he played in as a striker, winger and attacking midfielder.
Bokobza, a junior Business Administration major from Omer, Israel, has a cumulative 3.68 GPA at ERAU. The forward featured in 14 matches for the Eagles, starting five and scoring one goal.

All six will advance to the ballot for the CSC Academic All-America teams, which will be announced on Dec. 20.
