2023 Embry-Riddle Women's Cross Country Schedule
DAYTONA BEACH, Florida - Four regular season meets, including the 20th annual Embry-Riddle Cross Country Classic, as well as the Sunshine State Conference and NCAA II South Region Championship meets await the Embry-Riddle cross country squads in 2023. Head Coach
Mike Rosolino and his Eagle harriers will look to capture their 15th (Men) and ninth (Women) conference championships in 2023, while also hoping to qualify for the 2023 NCAA II National Championship in Joplin, Missouri.
Embry-Riddle begins the season in Jacksonville at the North Florida Invitational on Sept. 2 before the Blue and Gold have two weeks to prepare for the Embry-Riddle Cross Country Classic on Sept. 16. 2023 will mark the 20th edition of the Classic, and will once again serve as one of the premier cross country meets in the state of Florida. The men claimed their 17th team title in 19 years in 2022, while the women finished fifth overall.
The Eagles will return to Tallahassee for the FSU Invitational on Sept. 29 where the men finished third overall in 2022 and the women placed 10th. Embry-Riddle will then travel to Huntsville, Alabama for the UAH Invitational on Oct. 7 for the third consecutive season. In 2022, 14 men and six women set career-best times at John Hunt Park, marking two of the fastest races in program history.
The UAH Invitational will serve as the final regular season meet of the campaign as the Sunshine State Conference Championship is slated for Oct. 21, nearly two weeks earlier than 2022. This year's conference meet will be held at Holloway Park in Lakeland as the Eagle men look to make it four consecutive SSC crowns, which would tie them for the second-longest championship streak in conference history. The women hope to return to the top of the SSC podium for the first time since 2017.
The NCAA II South Region Championship will take place in Montevallo, Alabama on Nov. 4, marking the first running of the race outside of the state of Florida since 2014 (Huntsville). A year ago, the ERAU men finished third, qualifying them for the NCAA II National Championship, while the women took eighth overall.
Joplin, Missouri and the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course will serve as the site of the 2023 NCAA II National Championship, with Missouri Southern State serving as the host institution. The race is set for Nov. 18.
Meets, dates and times are subject to change.
