MELBOURNE, Fla. – After a solid of day of racing at Boukaert Farms just outside Atlanta, Ga., two Embry-Riddle cross country runners, Tayan Benson and Mackenzie Keller, were tabbed as the Sunshine State Conference's Runners of the Week. 
 
Benson picks up his first weekly award after pacing the Eagles at the Georgia Tech XC Invite, finishing the 8K course in fifth place with his time of 25:37.76. In a field of 154 runners, Benson helped the Eagles to 37 points, finishing ahead of Division I programs like GT, South Alabama and Emory. 
 
Keller, now a two-time Runner of the Week honoree this season, vaulted the running Eagles to a seventh place finish out of a field of 23 teams. Keller picked up her third consecutive top-5 finish on the year, finishing the field of 191 runners in third place (22:07.80) in the 5K event. With two runners out of this race, the Eagles swarmed as a pack, but Keller stood out with another solid run.
 
The two cross country teams will gear up for another regional race this weekend as ERAU heads to Huntsville, Ala., for the UAH Invite, before preparing for the SSC Championships on Oct. 25.
