DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle baseball team features three players named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District, the CSC announced on Tuesday.
Chase Bruno,
Alex Britton and
Dillon Moran were all tabbed to the All-District team with consideration for All-America, advancing to the next round.
Â
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve, playing at least 90-percent of contests with a least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (including both undergraduate and graduate degree work), and have been at their respective institutions for at least one academic year.
Â
Bruno adds to his impressive postseason award list, after being tabbed to All-Region and All-Conference teams. He finished the regular season with an impressive .401 batting average and 79 hits, which both led the Sunshine State Conference.
Â
Britton also was chosen to the All-Conference squad, netting All-Defensive honors. Aside from his league-leading 1.000 fielding percentage, Britton racked up a .319 average with 53 runs and 34 RBI.
Â
Moran enjoyed a stellar final campaign in 2024, and led the entire conference in innings pitched (104.1) and strikeouts (115). He was the only SSC pitcher to hurl two complete games this year, and did so in back-to-back conference starts.Â
Â
The Eagles had one of their best seasons to date, reaching the NCAA II Super Regionals, making it within just one game of the Baseball Championships in Cary, N.C.
