MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's basketball team returned to the win column with a decisive 67-51 defeat of Florida Tech on Wednesday. The Eagles completed the season sweep of the Panthers to improve to 17-2 overall and 11-1 in Sunshine State Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter
• The Panthers scored the first bucket of the game, but the Eagles responded with an 8-0 run to go up 8-2.
• A nearly four-minute scoring drought for the Eagles helped Florida Tech closed the gap to 8-6.
• A low-scoring first quarter saw the Eagles outscore the Panthers 5-2 in the last 4:05 to lead 13-9 heading into the second.
• Lengemann paced the Eagles in the first frame with six points.
Second Quarter
• Liberatore scored one of her three second-quarter threes to reduce the Eagle lead to one point (13-12).
• Beginning at the 8:51 mark, Lengemann outscored the Panthers 6-2 and
Chandler Brooks added a layup of her own to expand the Eagle advantage to seven points (21-14).
• Anye' Staton's first points of the contest ended a two-minute scoring drought for both teams to make the score 23-14.
• Liberatore and Tai Roberts combined for three treys to cut the lead to three (26-23), but the Eagles countered with threes by Napoli and Jean-Louis.

Alyssa Brasko's layup with 43 seconds left put the Eagles up 31-23 at the half.
Third Quarter
• The Eagles dominated the Panthers in the third period, outscoring the home team 17-7.
• Embry-Riddle was 53.8 percent (7-of-13) from the field in the second, while Florida Tech managed just three made field goals.
• A Roberts three cut the lead to seven (33-26), but Napoli answered with a three of her own to trigger a 15-2 Eagle run that widened the gap to 20 points (48-28).
• Heading into the fourth, Embry-Riddle led 48-30.
Fourth Quarter
• The Eagles' shooting cooled to 46.7 percent (7-of-15), but their 60 percent (3-of-5) clip from beyond the arc helped them lead by as many as 25 points.
• The Panthers were 8-of-14 from the field, including Emma Dillman going 4-for-4 in the fourth.
• A 9-0 spurt helped the Panthers to cut the lead to 16 points.
• A three from Brasko and a layup by
Alyssa Torgerson increased the Eagle lead to 67-46, but the Panthers scored the last five points of the game for the 67-51 final.
