PENSACOLA, Fla. – Embry-Riddle men's tennis turned in a strong showing at the ITA South Regional Championship this weekend in Pensacola, Fla.

Enrico Rosellini and Marc Mail highlighted the event with a semifinal run in doubles play while eighth-seeded Rosellini made a quarterfinal appearance in a singles field loaded with nationally ranked competition.

Rosellini powered through three straight singles victories, defeating Valdosta State's Jerome Iaconi (6-2, 6-3), West Florida's Vicente Couto (6-2, 6-4) and Saint Leo's Jose David Segovia Perez (6-1, 6-4) to reach the quarterfinals. His run ended in a tight three-setter against Barry's Adam Lynch, 6-4, 2-6, 7-6, dropping in a 7-4 tiebreaker.

Both Manuel Lanteri and Mail notched a pair of wins in singles play. Mail also had a highlight on the main stage, rallying against Lee's Stefan Los (6-5, 5-7, 12-10) and West Alabama's Jacob Tapia (3-6, 6-4, 10-8) before falling to West Florida's Diego Duran in the round of 16.

The Eagles will take some time away from competition before returning to the courts on Oct. 24-26 for the ERAU Hidden Duals.
