PENSACOLA, Fla. – Embry-Riddle Women's Tennis continued fall action this week, battling on the courts in Pensacola, Fla. for the 2025 ITA DII South Regional Championship.

Leading the way for the Eagles was Benedetta Sensi, posting a 2-1 record in singles play to bow out in the Round of 16 on Saturday. Sensi posted a dominant 6-0, 6-2 win over Delta State's Amelia Ciesielczyk and added another straight-set victory, 6-2, 6-1, against Valdosta State's Carmelle Vial.

ERAU saw early success on Friday as all four Eagles competing in singles captured wins in the opening round. Franziska Kremerskothen rebounded from a first-set loss to defeat West Alabama's Greta Zawels 5-7, 6-1, 10-5. Daniela Fernandez Junquera delivered a gritty 5-7, 6-4, 10-5 triumph over Valdosta State's Milica Prokic, while Amelie Gindl cruised past Montevallo's Latizia Bojara 6-2, 6-1.

As for doubles play, the combo of Gindl and Sensi opened with an 8-2 win over Valdosta State's Charleigh Fay and Ena Arnautovic before falling in the second round with a tight 8-7 (6) defeat to Saint Leo's Catherine Rabatin and Candice Bernier. Fernandez Junquera and Kremerskothen battled tough as well, dropping 8-4 and 8-6 decisions to pairings from Valdosta State and Saint Leo, respectively.

The Eagles will take some time away from competition before returning to the courts on Oct. 24-26 for the ERAU Hidden Duals.
