Women’s Golf Begins NCAA II National Preview

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. - Day one of the NCAA II National Preview got underway for Embry-Riddle Women's Golf on Monday at the prestigious PGA National Resort. The Eagles were as high as fifth after the first round thanks to an incredible 69 from Loa Johannsson, who led after 18 holes.

After the second round, Embry-Riddle resides in 11th in another stacked field that includes nine ranked programs and two teams receiving votes in the latest national coaches poll. Johannsson is eyeing another top-20 result to start the season as the senior sits in a tie for 14th.

  • Amat joined the starting lineup for the first time as an Eagle
  • She led the team in pars in round one with 13 and tied with Tsouklaris for the most on the team during day one (20)
  • Her 79 in the first round was a season-low score

Ottavia Franzinelli Socini Guelfi (83-83=166) | T-56th
  • Franzinelli recorded a birdie on her fourth hole of the day, a par 4
