Four Volleyball Members Receive CSC Academic All-District Honors

| By:
GREENWOOD, Ind. - For the second-straight year, Embry-Riddle Volleyball saw four of its members earn College Sports Communicators Academic All-District accolades on Tuesday. Isabella Rujano returned to the list for the third-consecutive season while Ashlyn Koerner, Stella Weisbrod, and Kailey Hrbek earned the academic distinction for the first time. The three first-time recipients are the ninth, tenth and eleventh different Eagles to earn the award. Additionally, Rujano becomes the first in program history to receive it on three separate occasions.

The 2025 Academic All-District Volleyball Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. In order to be eligible for CSC All-District honors, student-athletes must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA, compete in at least 90 percent of the team's matches or start at least 66 percent of the team's contests, and be a sophomore or higher athletically and academically. In addition to this, programs are limited to four nominations.

Rujano holds a 3.66 GPA as she pursues a degree in aerospace physiology. The senior was among the top hitters in the Sunshine State Conference this season, registering the sixth-most points (3.8) and the eighth-most kills (3.3) per set in the league. Rujano also recorded 241 digs, 66 blocks and eight double-doubles and was one of just three Eagles to play in all 120 sets this year. This is her 15th award and eighth academic accolade of her decorated career.

Hrbek had a solid season as she transitioned into a starting role at middle blocker. The junior started all 30 matches and posted 98 blocks over 116 sets. Her breakout performance came when Hrbek rejected 11 attacks at Florida Southern on Nov. 21, which were tied for the fifth-most blocks in a match in program history and the eighth most in SSC history. That led to the SSC tabbing the Omaha, Nebraska native as the Defensive Player of the Week. Hrbek is majoring in Human Factors Psychology and possesses a 4.0 GPA.

Koerner was once again a mainstay at setter for the Eagles in 2025. She received a pair of SSC Setter of the Week honors and ended the slate with 8.6 assists per set, the fourth-highest rate in the conference. The sophomore accumulated 50 or more assists in four matches, led the team in aces (45) and posted 2.4 digs per set. Koerner is an Aerospace Physiology major with a 4.0 GPA.

Weisbrod earns the honor thanks to a 4.0 GPA in Human Factors Psychology. The outside hitter competed in 29 matches for the Blue and Gold, drawing 19 starts. In 99 sets, Weisbrod recorded 158 kills, 205 digs, 22 aces, 10 blocks and four double-doubles.

All four Eagles advance to the Academic All-American ballot with results expected to be released on Jan. 13, 2026.
