HOW IT HAPPENED

First Inning

Matthew Coker was the first baserunner of the game, reaching on a single to right field.

• Coker took advantage of a throwing error by the Buccaneer short stop to score the first run of the evening.

Fourth Inning

• The Eagles held on to the one-run advantage until Savi Delgado doubled to score Felix Diaz, tying the score at 1-1.

Fifth Inning

• The Eagles answered the Barry score with a three-run fifth.

• A walk, a single and a sacrifice bunt that the Buccaneers were unable to field loaded the bases for Elias Campbell.

• Campbell reached on a six-pitch walk that scored Robert Post.

AJ Marinello's single scored Imposimato and Mac Kops hit a sacrifice fly to centerfield to send Collin Mastromauro across, putting the Eagles up 3-1.

Sixth Inning

• Three hits, including a Campbell RBI-double, and an error led to two more runs for the Blue & Gold.

• The Buccaneers scored two runs of their own in the bottom of half of the inning to make it 6-3 Eagles.

Seventh Inning

• For the third inning in a row, the Eagles got the leadoff runner on base, this time in the form of a Timo Aracena walk.

• After Jack Beyl was hit by a pitch, both he and Aracena moved up on Post's sacrifice bunt and both came around to score on an Imposimato shot that bounced over the head of the third baseman and down the left field line.

Gunnar Harrison got all three Barry hitters he faced in the seventh to strike out swinging sending the Eagles into the eighth with an 8-3 advantage.

Eighth Inning

• The Buccaneers threatened in the home half of the eighth as a throwing error, a single and a walk loaded the bases with one out.

• After issuing the walk, Tyler Donay, who entered the game at the start of the inning, struck out the next two batters he faced to end the threat.
