DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – For the first time in program history the Embry-Riddle women's tennis team (5-0) traveled to Indianapolis to take part in the ITA Division II National Indoor Championships. The top seven teams in the national rankings from the previous season qualify as well as the host. The Eagles come in as the No.4 seed and they defeated No.6 Wingate (3-1) in the first round, 4-2.

Doubles

  • First off the court was the No.1 pairing of Laura Cuesta Bret and Carla Cabero del Hierro, who faced Chloe Kosmrlj and Daniela Kotara. In just 27 minutes the Eagles pairing came out on top winning 6-2.

  • At No.2 doubles, Benedetta Sensi and Maissaine Aik triumphed over Suzuka Sambyakugari and Gigi Hinson with a 6-3 win, securing the doubles point.

Singles

  • Sensi was the first to finish at No.4, dominating her opponent in under an hour. She conceded just one game in the second set, defeating Sophie Quagraine 6-0, 6-1. This victory improves Sensi's singles record to 4-0, having dropped only 10 games this season.
