DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – For the first time in program history the Embry-Riddle women's tennis team (5-0) traveled to Indianapolis to take part in the ITA Division II National Indoor Championships. The top seven teams in the national rankings from the previous season qualify as well as the host. The Eagles come in as the No.4 seed and they defeated No.6 Wingate (3-1) in the first round, 4-2.

Sensi was the first to finish at No.4, dominating her opponent in under an hour. She conceded just one game in the second set, defeating Sophie Quagraine 6-0, 6-1. This victory improves Sensi's singles record to 4-0, having dropped only 10 games this season.

At No. 2, Cuesta Bret was the next to defeat a Bulldogs player, securing a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Fernanda Castillo.

Jessica Christa Wira Hadipoernomo clinched the victory at No. 3, facing Sambyakugari. After winning the first set 6-3 the Eagle went toe to toe with the Bulldog in the second, but Wira Hadipoernomo broke serve at 5-4 to secure the win for the Eagles.
The Eagles return for the semifinals of the ITA DII National Indoor Championships tomorrow to take on the first seed and in-conference rivals Barry University at 5:30 pm.
