DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's basketball team celebrated a program milestone on Saturday in exciting fashion on Friday. The 10th-ranked Eagles pulled out an overtime win against Rollins to secure a share of the 2025 Sunshine State Conference regular season title, marking the first conference title in the program's history.
The Eagles' overtime victory was spearheaded by a 25-point performance by
Madyson Jean-Louis and a career-best 18 points from Anye' Staton.

• The Eagles are 10th in the latest WBCA Coaches' Poll and sixth in the most recent D2 CSC Media Poll.
• Saturday's win completed the Eagles' season sweep of the Tars.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter
• The Eagles got off to a slow start on Saturday, going four minutes before recording their first points of the game.
• A back-and-forth battle led to an 11-10 Eagle edge at the end of the quarter.
Second Quarter
• The Eagles' offensive woes continued in the second quarter as they were just 28.6 percent (4-of-14) from the field.
• Rollins scored the first basket of the quarter to go up by one, but a Jean-Louis three put the Eagles back in front 14-12.
• The Tars built a seven-point cushion, but Teterycz scored five points in a row to help cut the deficit to one (23-22) at the half.
Third Quarter
• Neither team was able to pull away in the third with both teams shooting better than 50 percent in the frame.
• A quarter that featured five ties and seven lead changes saw the Eagles get two free throws from Jean-Louis and a trey from Teterycz to lead 48-44 going into the fourth..
Fourth Quarter
• The Eagles flew out of the gates in the fourth quarter, knocking down back-to-back threes to open up a10-point (54-44) lead just 48 seconds into the period.
• The Eagle lead was nine (59-50) at the 6:38 mark, but an 11-2 Tar run tied the score at 61-61 with 3:16 remaining.
• The Tars used another spurt to move ahead by two (67-65) with 18 seconds left in regulation.
• As the clock expired,
Kailey Turpening found Jean-Louis and the senior finished the layup to send the game into overtime.
Overtime
• Rollins went on a 5-0 run to begin the overtime period.
• The Eagles got a three from
Sarah Napoli and two free throws from Jean-Louis to tie the score at 73-73.
• Following misses on both sides, the Eagles got the ball to Jean-Louis and her layup with seven seconds left proved to be the game-winning shot.
