DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's basketball team honored
Sarah Napoli,
Jenna Teterycz and
Madyson Jean-Louis prior to the start of their game on Wednesday, but the Eagles were unable to secure a win in their final regular season home game, falling to Sunshine State Conference foe Nova Southeastern 72-67.
Despite the loss, there was still much to celebrate as Jean-Louis scored 14 points to become the all-time scoring leader in program history.

GAME NOTES
• The Eagles are ninth in the latest WBCA Coaches' Poll and fifth in the most recent D2 CSC Media Poll.
• The Eagles also top the NCAA II South Region rankings which were released on Wednesday afternoon.
• Rebounds and miscues were key factors in the outcome as NSU scored 15 second-chance points and 23 points off 22 Eagle turnovers.
• In the first meeting between the teams
Laurie Satchell scored a career-high 24 points; she followed that with a 22-point performance in Wednesday's rematch.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter
• The first quarter was even through the first five minutes.
• A 6-0 run gave the Sharks a 16-11 lead with 2:49 left in the quarter.
• A steal that led to a Napoli layup, as well as a
Kailey Turpening three tied the score at 16-16.
• The Eagles briefly took the lead on an Anye' Staton free throw, but the Sharks scored the last two points of the frame to lead 19-17.
Second Quarter
• The second quarter saw the Eagles' field goal percentage dip from 66.7 percent in the first frame to 33.3 percent in the second.
• The Sharks were only 5-of-14 from the field, but they bested the Eagles 11-3 on the boards, scoring five second chance points and four points off Eagle turnovers to lead 33-25 at the half.
Third Quarter
• The Eagles had the better shooting performance in the third quarter, shooting 66.7 percent (10-of-15) from the field compared to just 36.8 percent (7-of-19) by the Sharks.
• A three-pointer increased the Shark lead to nine (38-29) at the 8:53 mark.
• The Eagles were able to reduce the deficit to four points twice, but both times the Sharks were able to widen the gap.
• Trailing by eight (48-40) with 2:33 left, the Eagles outscored the Sharks 7-3 to end the quarter down 51-47.
Fourth Quarter
• Satchell opened the fourth quarter with a jumper to pull the Eagles within two (51-49).
• The Sharks continued to hold the Eagles at bay, widening the gap to 56-51 with 5:44 left to play.
• Back-to-back layups by Satchell made it a one-point game and Jean-Louis' only three of the night, put the Eagles ahead 58-56.
• The lead was short-lived as back-to-back NSU threes gave the lead back to the Sharks.
• The Eagles cut the lead to two (66-64) with 16 seconds remaining, but the Sharks went 6-for-6 from the free throw line in the last 15 seconds to come away with the win.
