HOW IT HAPPENED
1st Inning

  • A leadoff triple immediately put a runner in scoring position.
  • The runner later scored on a throw down to second that escaped into center field.
2nd Inning
  • Leah Oberkehr and Katriana Bain were in scoring position with two outs when Kerry O'Sullivan sent a chopper back to the pitcher, who airmailed the throw to first to allow both Eagles to score.
  • Soon after, Mallory Kinahan singled up the middle to drive in O'Sullivan for a 3-1 lead.
3rd Inning
  • A suicide squeeze by Rollins trimmed the Eagles' lead to one run (3-2).
5th Inning
  • Two free passes and a single loaded the bases for the Blue and Gold.
  • Isabelle Bonn sailed a pitch to center that landed out in no-man's land to bring in another pair of Eagles to score (5-2, ERAU).
  • Rollins used a free pass, stolen base, wild pitch, and then a single to steal a run back in the bottom of the inning.
6th Inning
  • A fielding miscue by the Eagles brought a Tar in to score and slimmed Embry-Riddle's lead down to one run (5-4).
7th Inning
  • Oberkehr brought in a much-needed insurance run by sending a ball through the five-hole of the first baseman, scoring Delaney Morgan.
  • Oberkehr then induced a throw to second, allowing Serenity Jaenichen to come in from third to stretch the lead back to three runs (7-4).
  • The Eagles ended the game in style by turning a 6-4-3 double play.
