Embry-Riddle Women’s Rowing Kicks Off Spring Season Against Jacksonville University

Jacksonville, Fla.- The Embry-Riddle women's rowing team opened its spring season by going head-to-head with this year's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference preseason favorites and three-time defending MAAC champions, Jacksonville University.

THE WATER
  • The course was 2,000m.
  • The water was flat, with some rolling waves due to boat traffic.
  • The boats raced against moderate head current.
THE BOATS RESULTS
  • 1st Varsity 8 put up a strong performance, finishing at 7:36.6, just behind Jacksonville's 7:33.3 in a tightly contested race.
  • Embry-Riddles' 2nd Varsity 8+ crew battled hard, crossing the finish line in 8:22.1, with Jacksonville's 2V and 3V leading the way at 8:07.0 and 8:14.2.
